Following the decision of the co-owners, we have submitted the application for the "Mornarički trg 2 in Pula" building to the tender for the energy renovation of multi-apartment buildings NPOO.C7.2.I1.01.

The main objective of the energy renovation project of the multi-apartment building at Mornarički trg 2 in Pula is to present the current state of the building and to provide construction measures to improve the energy efficiency of the building, which will improve the conditions in the building for all users and reduce heating and cooling costs.

The purpose of the building is residential. The residential building has a square floor plan. On the ground floor of the building there are storage rooms (unheated part), an apartment and a common area for the co-owners of the building.

The net area of the heated part of the building is 1,438.27 m2, while the gross area of the heated part is 1,770.62 m2.

The outer envelope of the building consists of walls built of solid brick with a total thickness of d=40 cm, the walls are treated with lime-cement plaster on both sides. There is no thermal insulation on the external walls.

The walls facing the staircase are built with solid bricks d=25cm, and are treated with lime-cement plaster on both sides. The floor on the ground of the heated and unheated space is made of reinforced concrete slabs on which a cement screed is placed, which is also the final layer. The flat roof of the building is a reinforced concrete slab, on which concrete is laid in a slope and waterproofing. There is no thermal insulation on the roof. The entrance doors to the building are PVC.

The heating of the building is local. The apartments have a heating system using air conditioners and thermal storage stoves, and partly also using solid and gaseous fuels (wood and gas).

The existing building is of energy class C, with an annual primary energy (Eprim) for heating of a starting value of 240,715.26 kWh/a. The target value after energy renovation would be (Eprim) = 118,690.66 kWh/a which would be a contribution = -122,024.60 kWh/a or 50.69%.

Annual CO2 emissions before energy renovation = 35,020.04 kg/year. Annual CO2 emissions after energy renovation = 17,267.50 kg/year. which is a contribution to reducing CO2 emissions = -17,752.54 kg/year which is = 50.69%.

Facade height up to 25 meters, ground floor and six floors.

The measures envisaged by this energy renovation project are: thermal insulation of external walls by creating an ETICS system according to the manufacturer's instructions, all preparations: stone mineral wool d=10cm for walls bordering the heated space, stone mineral wool d=5cm for chimney and ventilation treatment, inspection of exits to the flat roof and stone mineral wool d=3cm for treatment of window sills.

Thermal insulation of a flat walk-through roof-terrace with hard stone mineral wool for flat roofs d=14cm, thermal insulation must be installed in such a way that the slopes are carried out towards horizontal gutters, or drains, which are located on the edge of the flat roof, or the corners of the building.

The existing wooden joinery in the common areas and in the apartments will be partially replaced with new PVC joinery with a broken thermal bridge, sealed with all fittings and PVC profiles that have the ability to collect and drain condensate. With external sun protection (blinds), the glazing will be made with triple insulated glass with gas filling, low-e coating and triple sealing with a defined maximum heat transfer coefficient for the entire window Uw=1.10w/m2K, while the coefficient for glass is equal to Ug=0.70W/m2k.

The joinery will be installed exclusively using the Ral installation method, where special sealing strips intended exclusively for this type of sealing are used. The color of the joinery is white. The eaves will be treated and insulated with mineral wool d=2cm

After implementing the measures envisaged by the Main Project for the Energy Renovation of the Apartment Building, energy consumption will be significantly reduced and the energy class will be A, with the savings envisaged according to the budget data from the main project.

The purpose of the energy renovation of the apartment building is to improve the conditions in the building for all users, as well as to reduce maintenance and heating costs, as well as to reduce pollution and harmful CO2 emissions. The existing building was built in 1964 and has great potential for implementing energy efficiency measures that will be carried out in accordance with the Main Project for the Energy Renovation of the building at Mornarički trg 2, Pula. Currently, the building looks aesthetically untidy in its environment. Due to wear and tear, parts of the facade plaster occasionally fall off from the balcony and facade, which poses a danger to people and vehicles. For this reason, warning signs have been placed on the building for a long time.

Share of energy from renewable sources in the annual energy delivered before energy renovation, starting value: = 49.08%. Share of energy from renewable sources in the annual delivered energy after energy renewal, target value: = 29.84%.

Increase in the share of energy from renewable sources in the annual delivered energy, contribution: = -19.24%.

Existing condition of the building:

Currently, the building, according to budgets, has a high energy consumption and emits a large amount of CO2.

Annual CO2 emissions before energy renovation = 35,020.04 kg/year. Annual CO2 emissions after energy renovation = 17,267.50 kg/year. which is the contribution to reducing CO2 emissions = -17,752.54 kg/year which is = 50.69%.

Facade height up to 25 meters, ground floor and six floors.

The measures envisaged by this energy renovation project are: performing thermal insulation on external walls by creating an ETICS system according to the manufacturer's instructions, all preparations: stone mineral wool d=10cm for walls bordering the heated space, stone mineral wool d=5cm for chimney and ventilation treatment, underlayment of exits to the flat roof and stone mineral wool d=3cm for treatment of window sills.

Thermal insulation of a flat walk-through roof-terrace with hard rock mineral wool for flat roofs d=14cm, thermal insulation must be installed in such a way that the slopes are carried out towards horizontal gutters, or drains, which are located on the edge of the flat roof, or the corners of the building.

The existing wooden joinery in the common areas and in the apartments will be partially replaced with new PVC joinery with an interrupted thermal bridge, sealed with all fittings and PVC profiles that have the ability to collect and drain condensate. With external sun protection (blinds), the glazing will be made with triple IZO glass with gas filling, low-e coating and triple sealing with a defined maximum heat transfer coefficient for the entire window Uw=1.10w/m2K, while the coefficient for glass is equal to Ug=0.70W/m2k.

The installation of joinery shall be carried out exclusively using the Ral method of installation, using special sealing strips intended exclusively for this type of sealing. The color of the joinery shall be white. The eaves shall be treated and insulated with mineral wool d=2cm

The roof is not thermally insulated.

The building envelope does not have any thermal insulation, which causes large energy losses when heating/cooling the space.

The building's joinery is mostly wooden and has become permeable over time.

Due to the current condition of the facade and roof, leaks, moisture, condensate and muffling appear in the heated areas, which makes the microlocation for living unhealthy and uncomfortable.
